Resumen:
Echo and reverberation are acoustic phenomena chosen here as a poetic metaphor for the ways in which we move naturally around the world between analogue and virtual situations. We know that our existence basically flows between two dimensions: time and space. However, the way we used to experience these dimensions was face-to-face, so we would talk about carrying out actions in “real time” and “simultaneously” with the other. Today our experience is both in person and virtual. This flow leads to a timespace displacement that shapes other ways of configuring the “real”: we can share situations “in real time” without sharing spaces, or we can carry out activities “with others” sharing neither time nor space. This raises the question of how the notion of “reality” – definable as it might be – is created from this flow, from these echoes of some experiences in others. In this regard, the exhibition seeks to convey to the viewer a reflection on this way of inhabiting the present. This varied selection of artists and works aims to recreate such a flow of the contemporary individual from a poetic dimension. The selected works will fit into the spaces, thereby producing a situation of immersion in the spectators, inviting them to explore spaces that are not fully acknowledgedand to identify images that will arouse surprise and reflection.
