The goal of the project is to develop and assess non-invasive tools that allow for the monitoring of health dynamics of wild guanaco populations, a piece of knowledge that is critical to be able to successfully conserve and manage this species. At the moment, the use of the handheld GPS navigator and the spotting scope provided by Idea Wild was a useful tool that aided the completion of 6 sampling sessions, with 328 fecal samples collected (50% of my thesis samples), and 13 population surveys (a whole year) at Reserva Provincial La Payunia.
