The specific objectives of the Congress are:? To provide epidemiological data about neglected diseases.? To give an update and communicate the scientific advances in the field of chemotherapy of neglected diseases: Chagas? disease, African trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, dengue, zika, chikungunya, hemorrhagic fever, malaria and mycetoma, among others.? To present research works related to the discovery and development of natural and synthetic drugs for the treatment ofthese diseases.? To foster the exchange of information and to create bonds among research groups at both national and international levels.Lectures, oral communications and posters are related to the following thematic fields: natural compounds; drug design; drug synthesis; in vivo and in vitro assays; mechanisms of action; epidemiology and regulatory aspects and intellectual property.The event will bring an opportunity to discuss the latest scientific advances in the field of drug development for neglected diseases and provide an ideal environment for promoting and establishing collaborative research and cooperation activities among the participants.
