An extraordinary deciphering of one country´s engagement for and against neoliberalism. Grimson and Kessler use Argentine as an extreme case to get at the complexity of this engagement and avoid easy interpretations" The socio-cultural transformations taking place in Argentina during the 1990s and up to the present time will be analyzed and their regional repercussions examined. After depicting the different ways territory, State and society have been articulated in the course of Argentine history, in the first chapter the relations between Argentina and its neighbors in recent years are analyzed, as well as the Mercosur project and changes occurring along the borders in member countries.
