Resumen:
This investigation contributes to a better understanding of the long paleoenvironmental record recovered in 2008 that will be studied from the Pali Aike Volcanic Field in the framework of the ICDP project Potrok Aike Maar Lake Sediment Archive Drilling Project (PASADO). Late Holocene paleomagnetic secular variation and relative paleointensity records are presented for Laguna Potrok Aike. High-resolution analyses were conducted on eight sediment cores which represent the last 600 years. This study was carried out in order to complete the paleosecular variation and paleointensity type curves for South America (Gogorza et al., 1999, 2000a,b, 2002, 2004, 2006, Irurzun et al., 2008, 2009) which lack a detailed record for the last millennium.
