Resumen:
X-ray imaging techniques are very interesting tools for archaeobotanical studies, regarding their analyticalscope and non-destructive character. 3D reconstructions of the whole samplesalso help in stocking and sharing detailed reference data from identifiedspecimens. X-ray MicroCT images obtained from six carpological vestiges from thearchaeological site Monte Castelo (RO) revealed a set of internal morphologicalstructures. This contribution applies XRFCT analysis to one of those samplesshowing the presence and differential distribution of chemical elements relatedto internalstructures. Results enhance sample characterization and complementmorphological studies of Monte Castelo archaeobotanical remains.
