Resumen:
The rotation fill-in is a tumor benignity signaturepresent in rotation elastograms that may be used for breasttumor classification during freehand ultrasound quasi-staticelastography scanning. It results from the bonding conditionat the interface between the tumor and the surrounding hosttissue. In the case of benign lesions, which are generally looselybound, a rotation is induced when submitted to asymmetric stressdistribution along the lateral direction. Conversely, for malignantcases it is expected to see a lack of fill-in due to its spiculatedshape that produces a firmly bound condition. In this context, we aim to study the tumor bonding conditiondependence on the ultrasound probe angle which may modifythe pre-stressing condition at the interface between the tumorand host tissue. As conclusion, we argue that the bonding condition of ourtumor model depend of the ultrasound probe angle.
