Resumen:
I will argue that the main methodological resources of phenomenological sociology are the epoché and the eidetic reduction as applied to group phenomena; i.e., not as used in the perspective of the first person singular but in the first person plural?though we also deal with the second or third persons since, as far as the sociological perspective is involved, they are always experienced from a group?s perspective?. Even more, it is a central claim of phenomenological sociology that the first person perspective is informed by the group?s natural relative worldview. In accordance, I will illustrate how those methodological resources are applied to the study of groups by making some theoretical claims and also giving examples of how classical and contemporary thinkers have practiced them.
