Resumen:
The Eta Chamaleontis cluster is the nearest (97 pc) and the first relatively young (5-9 Myr) open cluster discovered by X-ray obsevations (Mamajek et al 1997). First X-ray study of the region was performed by Mamajek et al. (1999) based on pointed ROSAT-HRI [0.1-2.4 keV] observations. Due to its proximity, this work constitutes the deepest X-ray study ever performed on a young stellar region (see Table 1), and first X-ray characterization of time-spectral resolved properties of the known low-mass stars of the cluster.
