Resumen:
The area between Bahía San Blas and Carmen de Patagones (Southern Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) has been of great historical importance from the 17th to the 20th centuries: notably, a key sailing route connecting Buenos Aires and Montevideo with harbors of Patagonia. However, the documentary sources on shipwrecks are relatively scarce and no previous work on maritime archaeology was available for the mentioned area. Novel studies reveal that the region has much more information to on this data.
