Resumen:
Many groups around the world work on the attempt to improve the transport properties of MgB2 in high fields, aiming the use in magnets for particle accelerators and in systems for nuclear fusion tests, with fields above 10T. On the other hand, modern magnetic resonance imaging systems work in the range 0.5 to 2.0T. It is interesting to combine the different defects to enhance not only the high-field current carrying performance but also the low-field one. In the present work it is described a methodology to produce MgB2 bulks doped with TaB2 and SiC, in an attempt to optimize the critical current densities.2 in high fields, aiming the use in magnets for particle accelerators and in systems for nuclear fusion tests, with fields above 10T.
