Resumen:
Inthe mid-1830s, a group of newspapers emerged in the Río de la Plata that werelinked to new reading interests. In a context in which publications of apolitical and doctrinal nature predominated, this group of journals (characterized in their titles as "compilers", "museums", "bouquets", "albums") was distinguished by its end of cultural dissemination and by its emphasis on compilationas the organizing principle of its materials. The aim of this proposal is to analyzethis set of publications in relation to certain institutional modulations ofthe Nineteenth-Century, specifically with the creation of museums, archives, libraries, considering that both the newspapers and the aforementionedinstitutions were part of a common framework of cultural practices linked withcollecting, sorting and exhibition.
