Relationship between the activity of thunderstorms and ionospheric oscillation during RELAMPAGO Project

We have begun to study the relationship between the activity of thunderstorms and ionospheric oscillation. This work was carried out during the period of 0 to 7 UTC of 10 November 2018 in the central region of Argentina. The Total electron Content (TEC) was computed from GNSS measurements provided by RAMSAC network stations and the atmospheric electrical activity data were provided by the Earth Network Total Lightning Network (ENTLN).We found that some TEC variations show oscillations with periodicities of 25-30 minutes and amplitude from 0.1 to 0.2 TECU; and sometimes oscillatory variations with periods of approximately 4 minutes and amplitudes below 0.1 Total electron content unit (TECU) are superimposed.
