Resumen:
Abstract: Stratigraphy of the Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous at the Río Blanco Valley, Aconcagua basin (32°57?S).The Mesozoic sedimentary variations at the main central Andes between 30° and 33° latitude S were dominated principally by fluctuations of the sea level and its capacity to overpass the current arc topography during those times, resulting in periods of transgression and regression. Those variations were recorded principally in the Mendoza Group that comprises a very large area in the Neuquén Basin. And specifically in the study area it presents very well preserved outcrops. Through analysis of four sedimentary profiles, we have identified the local stratigraphy and compared it with the descriptions in previous literature. Its lithology and marine fossil fauna allows to make inferences about periods of high stands and low stands and thus infer shallow and deep marine and continental environments through time.
