Resumen:
The Vista Variables in the Via Lactea is a near IR public survey in the Galaxy bulge and the southern disk. With this survey it is possible to identify interesting objects that can be stellar in appearance but are far beyond the Galaxy, as the quasars (QSOs). The QSOs candidates are selected from the photometric data using conspicuous colours as compared with stars and galaxies (Richards et al. 2002). Applying a photometric selection in the IR, we would like to increase the number of observed QSOs behind the Milky Way. These objects may help us to understand the QSOs in general, and high redshift objectsin particular. They can shed light on galaxy models and the formation of black holes.
