In the last ca. 3000 years BP,there was a deeply change in socioeconomic hunter-gatherers organization in Southern Mendoza. New technologies, like ceramic technology, was incorporated. This allowed an occupation and exploitation of marginal areas such as highlands and arid environments.Technological strategies, mobility and use of space are linked in this research by distributional analysis of archaeological ceramics from different sites from southern Mendoza. Presence, absence and quantities of pottery sherds are considered. The objective is evaluate the use of pottery through space and his relation in scheduling mobility and subsistence strategies.
