Resumen:
I´ll focus on a topic that, in my opinion, could be the axis around which our coming discussions go around. This topic is ?the archive?. To think on archive means to take risks, mainly because the word ?archive? is polysemic. Consciously or unconsciously, successively or even simultaneously, we deal with different meanings of the word ?archive? when we research, collect, write, and define our case studies. Thus, the only way to reflect on the topic is to cope with its wide variety of meanings. So, let me express three main intertwined ideas on the archive, against the backdrop of its polysemy. These ideas are:1. Archive is or may be a central concept in the meetings of this Study Group. 2. There is nothing (or few) beyond archive3. Archive is a process not a product.
