Resumen:
In the Quebrada del Peñasquito, on the western flank of the Sierra del Tontal, igneous bodies of andesitic composition are located. These are housed in the Don Polo Formation, subconcordantly with the structure. The texture of these rocks under the microscope is porphyric and the composition is plagioclase, hornblende, biotite and quartz. Petro-mineralogical studies of surface samples allowed the definition of hydrothermal alteration associations linked to magmatism.
