Resumen:
Events of Energetic particles are potential candidates to affect the Global Atmospheric Electrical Circuit (GAEC). This is supported by theoretical models proposing that these events canmodify the atmospheric conductivity profile above thunderstorms. If very strong events occur, they are able to change the atmospheric conductivity at low altitudes. These effects can bestudied through measurements of the atmospheric electric field (AEF) in fair weather regions. In this study, we investigate the AEF daily curve departures from the standard curve duringsolar proton events and Forbush decrease. The superposed epoch analysis was utilized in orderto enhance weak effects. AEF data corresponds to the period between January 2010 - December2017, and were recorded at Complejo Astronomico El Leoncito (CASLEO) at 2550 masl. Theresults show possible ionization effects in regions of disturbed and fair weather regions, whichalters the GAEC.
