Resumen:
WTTS (weak-emission T Tauri stars) are young and intrinsic variable stars that present light curves with rotational modulations due to the presence of cold spots of magnetic origin on the photosphere. In addition, WTTS have ages (of about 10^7 yr) compatible with the beginning of the planetary formation process and thus are good targets to search for proto-planets by the transit technique. However, the spots induce light variation introducing a signifificant limitation to these searches. In this contribution we present an initial effort to characterize cold spots in WTTS as a fifirst step to better constrain their inflfluence on transits detections. We model the light curves of 18 WTTS using data from the CSDR 2 of the Catalina survey (Cat; Drake et al. 2009 ApJ 696:807) and the DR1 of the SuperWASP (SW; Pollacco et al. 2006 Ap&SS 304:253) and the VARTOOLS code. We derive spots parameters such as temperature, size and location on the stellar surface. Combining our model parameters with data obtained from the literature we obtain the distribution of temperature, size and location of cold spots in WTTS. These distributions allow us to characterize cold spots properties in WTTS.
