Antibodies can be obtained from egg yolks laid by immunised hens, the so-called egg yolk immunoglobulins. IgY Technology comprises the whole process of :  rearing hens as laboratory animals, immunisation schemes, IgY purification procedures,  and application in many fields of research and diagnosis.
