Resumen:
Nanoscience and nanotechnology are devoted to the synthesis, manipulation, assembly and use of nano-sized materials. Nowadays, nanotechnology is opening up new perspectives in almost all scientific and technological fields, including engineering, medicine, physics and chemical sciences, among others. Particularly, the main objectives of the Analytical Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (AN&N) involve nanomaterials both as tools and analytes. In this context, the simplification and miniaturization of analytical methods can be achieved by including nanoparticles in one or more steps of the process. Additionally, the development of new methodologies for the characterization of nanoparticles in different environments allows to obtain valuable (bio)-chemical information about the material. In this presentation, the state-of-the-art in the synthesis and characterization of metallic and metal oxide nanoparticles and the combination with different analytical methodologies will be discussed.
