Resumen:
Nitric oxide (NO) and Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-α)are pleiotropic factors that display multiple biological functions. Inexperimental autoimmune orchitis (EAO), a rat model of chronicinflammation associated to infertility, spermatocytes die by apoptosisinduced by high levels of NO and TNF-α while spermatogoniathat persist in the basal compartment of the seminiferous tubulesare arrested. We propose that these factors are also involved inspermatogonia cell cycle control in EAO.
