Resumen:
This paper analyzes the impact on Argentina of a Free Trade Area (FTA) between Mercosur and the EU. A quantitative assessment has been done implementing four different simulations with a Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model for Argentina aiming at quantifying the importance of each sensitive HS6 product on trade and welfare. Results show that a free trade agreement between Mercosur and the EU would have a significant impact on trade flows between Argentina and the EU, and that agricultural products (EU sensitive products) are the HS6 products whose liberalization would bring the most gains to Argentina.
