Resumen:
Amartya Sen proposes a conception of economic-social development that is considered novel as it is broader than any other theory of economic growth. His conception of economic-social development includes the notions of freedom, agency, empowerment and governance. In this paper we intend to clarify each notion, to reconstruct the peculiar link between them and to indicate that economic-social development is the result of the interrelated functioning of these concepts, each in its role.
