Resumen:
Crabs are highly visual animals that display complex visually guided behaviours. Object moon detecon providesessenal cues for a wide variety of behaviours such as mate, prey or predator detecon. In insects and decapodcrustaceans, encoding of object moon is associate to visual processing in the third opc neuropil, the lobula. Due tothe thin caliber of the small-field lobula columnar neurons, almost all we know about object moon detecon arisesfrom studies on their postsynapc and larger lobula output neurons.
