Resumen:
The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RME) is frequently employed to assess theory of mind in a varied number pathologies, but it?s criticized due to its length and low internal consistency. This test assess the ability to recognize emotions in 36 pictures of eyes. There is evidence of impairments in complex emotion recognition in patients with relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). However, this ability is rarely assessed due to the limited number of available and valid tests. The purpose of this study was to assess the internal consistency and convergent validity of a reduced version of the RME and to compare the performance of patients with RRMS and healthy controls on the standard and the reduced version of the test.
