Resumen:
In this work, the single ionization of H2O by 81 eV impinging electrons and positrons is studied within the framework of the continuum-distorted-wave eikonal-initial-state (CDW-EIS) model. Fully Differential Cross Sections (FDCS) are obtained through the calculation of the transition amplitude at fixed molecular orientations and a subsequent proper average procedure to mimic experimental conditions [1,2]. Electron-impact results are benchmarked against recent experimental data obtained by Ren and co-workers [3] by means of a reaction microscope [4], which represent the sum of the FDCS of the 1b1 and the 3a1 orbitals. Good overall agreement is observed. Significant differences are exhibited in the binary region of the FDCS between electron- and positron-impact. In addition, forward electron emission is analysed identifying the main characteristics of the electron capture to the continuum (ECC) structure for positron-impact.
