Resumen:
In this paper, I present two direct arguments against Jesse Prinz’s account of the compositionality of proxytypes. Both arguments share a common strategy. I argue that Prinz’s solutions to some compositionality worries rely on the details of his own explanation of the expressive power of proxytypes. Then, I show that such explanation is either unsuccessful or severely incomplete in relation to those details that seem to be relevant to his discussion of compositionality. Finally, I conclude that such shortcomings undermine his account of the compositionality requirement.
