Resumen:
In this work some basic characteristics of electricaldistribution feeders such as its architecture, model, advantageand mainly the problem presented by induced over-voltages onoverhead lines due to indirect lightning, is presented. As relevantdata, two ways of modeling a distribution feeder JMarti and Pimodels are described. Which allow analyzing and obtainingvalues approximate a real distribution system. This research analyzes transients caused for atmosphericdischarges using the computer program Alternative TransientProgram (ATP) in a distribution feeder located in southernBrazil, by analyzing their voltages in the presence of a dischargeon the ground to 100 meters distance from the distribution grid, using the above models. In addition, the behavior between JMartiand Pi models of overhead lines is presented in detail, highlighting voltage variations that exist in each of the phases andat different points of the electrical grid. Different graphs of theoutput voltages and phase voltage values for each of theaforementioned models are presented.
