Resumen:
Inthe form of hydrogels, smart materials are typically applied inversatile fields such as soft actuators, wound dressing and drugdelivery systems. Materials obtained from natural sources are ofgreat interest for the replacement of oil-based polymers. Keratin canbe obtained from several animal sources that are by-products from thefood industry. Keratin hydrogels synthesized by the partialhydrolysis method are pH-responsive materials that expand at high pHs(6-8) and shrinks at low pH (3-5). The aim of this work was tooptimize the oxidation of these materials for the obtaining ofkeratose gels that present particular swelling behavior and chemicalproperties. p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; direction: ltr; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 120%; }p.western { font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; }p.cjk { font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; }p.ctl { font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; }a:link { color: rgb(5, 99, 193); }
