Resumen:
The ϵ mechanism is a self-excitation mechanism of stellar pulsations which acts in regions where nuclear burningtakesplace.Ithasbeenshownthattheϵmechanismcanexcitepulsationsinhotpre-horizontalbranchstars beforetheysettleintothestableheliumcore-burningphaseandthattheshortestperiodsofLSIV-14∘116couldbeexplainedthatway.Weaimtostudytheϵmechanisminstellarmodelsappropriateforhotpre-horizontalbranchstarsto predicttheirpulsationalproperties.Weperformdetailedcomputationsofnon-adiabaticnon-radialpulsationsonsuch stellarmodels.Wepredictanewinstabilitydomainoflong-periodgravitymodesinthelogg−logTeff planeatroughly 22000K .
