Femtosecond writing Double line appraoch Waveguides in Er-Yb doped Niobium Borate glasses

In this paper we present waveguides made in NiobiumBorate glasses doped with Er3+ and Yb3+ ions. These buriedwaveguides were fabricated by using femtosecond laser writingunder double line approach. Propagation performance and indexrefractive profiles were studied in this work. Finally, simulatedguiding structures by using commercial software RSOft wereperformed in order to test these guiding structures as potentialamplifiers systems for optical communication purpose.
