Resumen:
In this study, nanoporous materials used as electrodes in electric double layer capacitors (EDLC?s) [1] are examined and modeled. Two sample materials for EDLC electrodes were prepared with different pore sizes and volume fractions. Both materials have pore sizes in the nanometer-scale, to allow charge carriers to diffuse through the pore space. The aim of the work is, to predict the diffusivity of the materials in the pore space and the conductivity of the solid phase. For the study, the porous materials were imaged in 3D, using FIB-SEM Nanotomography. Then the solid phases and the pore spaces were segmented [2], and a stochastic model was fitted to the segmented datasets.
