Resumen:
This paper proposes an Integrated and Expanded Accounts for measuring the role of digital technologies as source of new products and services, following Jorgenson and Landefeld (2006) approach to US Accounts. The methodology proposes knowledge accounting as Perez and Benages (2015) but integrating not only skill labor, non ICT and ICT capital, nonresidential capital but also intangibles as Mas and Quesada (2015) following the symmetric principle of Jorgenson (2001) and Corrado, Hulten and Sichel (2005). Following Ahmad and Schreyer (2016) and Cavallo, Coremberg and Serebrisky (2017), the paper expands production frontier for including some digital activities as UBER and AirBnB, by their treatment as own production as SNA 08 does for housing services of owner occupied dwelling units. Following satellites accounts treatment of SNA08 and Cavallo, Coremberg and Serebrisky (2017) for infrastructure satellite accounts, we integrate digital peer to peer activities and knowledge assets services in an expanded KLEMS productivity, saving-consumption-investment and production framework. The methodology also allows to capture knowledge trading implicit in global value chains and trade in value added. We applied the proposal to key developed as well as developing countries
