Resumen:
The detection of gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) harmful to humans, animals and the environment is an area of material science in constantly development and a great research effort is being made in this area. Several types of devices and materials transform into a measurable signal the variation of their physico-chemical properties in the presence of gases/VOCs. The metal oxide semiconductors are chemical sensors, which have become mass-use for their large field of application, their small size and their simple manufacturing. In addition, they have a high sensitivity (detect very low concentrations), operate in a wide temperature range and possess long durability. The system Cr2-xTixO3 is a solid solutions with corundum structure (0.01
