Resumen:
humans by the faeces of triatomine bugs or congenital transmission [1]. It affects approximately 16 to 18 million people [2]. It is estimated that in 2008 more than 10.000 people died of Chagas disease. Due to the non-vector routes of infection, such as mother to child, blood transfusion and organ transplantation, the disease and the transmission of the parasite are no longer limited to Latin America but are now a worldwide problem [3]. Benznidazole (BNZ) and Nifurtimox (NFX) are the only two drugs currently available for treatment of Chagas disease [4]. In this work, we used the dispersive liquid-ionic liquid microextraction technique (
