Resumen:
Analysis of properties of hydride forming alloys for technological applications involves measurement of thermodynamic, kinetics and degradation properties, at least. Results obtained from standard pressure-composition isotherms (PCI) or reaction rate at constant volume (RRCV) can be enriched when additional methods are used. In this work we will present the equipment we designed to perform not only PCI and RRCV but also: - Reaction rate measurement at constant pressure- Reaction rate measurement at constant pressure - Reaction rate measurement during pressure rampsReaction rate measurement during pressure ramps - Thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS)Thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) - PCI, RRCV or TDS and simultaneous X-ray diffraction studies in the range: 0 – 450 C and 0 to 250 bar (0 – 60 bar when reactor for simultaneous X-ray diffraction is used), trying to facilitate device portability without loosing precision. Examples of measurements obtained with each method will be shown and discussed.PCI, RRCV or TDS and simultaneous X-ray diffraction studies in the range: 0 – 450 C and 0 to 250 bar (0 – 60 bar when reactor for simultaneous X-ray diffraction is used), trying to facilitate device portability without loosing precision.
