Resumen:
Unlike T cells, that have been broadly studied in anti-tumor immunity, the role of B cells in cancer progression remains a matter of controversy. Using different murine tumor models (4T1, LM3 and CT26) we sought to understand how the B cell compartment is phenotypically and functionally shaped by the presence of tumors, altering the host?s immune response. For this, we analyzed B cell ontogeny by determining the frequency and number of B cell subsets in the bone marrow and spleen of tumor-free and tumor-bearing mice.
