Resumen:
This work presents a new plant-wide control (PWC) problem formulation based on a mixed-integer quadratically constrained linear programming (MIQCLP). This representation maintains linearity and convexity avoiding the implementation of global optimization algorithms, improving the computing time and guarantees the global optimum. The stochastic global search methods such as genetic algorithms (GA) were compared against the Cplex solver in the GAMS environment. The Tennessee Eastman Process is selected as case study.
