Resumen:
The geophysical research was performed in order to build up a map of the site (buried at present), determining the distribution and characteristicsof the underground structures. We based our work on the historical map of the site which was complemented with data from the archaeologicalsurveys carried out since 1998.The main structure of the site corresponded to a 50 m long and wide wooden fort surrounded by a moat (SC I). This settlement was enlarged withthe construction of new buildings outside the fort, as North Wing I and South Wing II sectors (NWI and SWII) which should correspond to thesettler's houses, but there was no information about the internal organization of the houses and their occupation before the colony was abandoned. The house excavated in theNWIsector presented no roof remains and a low artifact density. On the contrary, in the SWII sector a collapsed roof (tilesand rest of the wooden beam) was found on the floor, supporting the hypothesis that this sector had been occupied. That was the main reason toperform a high resolution study in order to characterize the sector and to select the best place for excavation
