This work presents anew methodology for tuning industrial predictive controllers, with the aim tofit the parameters of the (associated) stationary optimization problem - whichdecides the optimal economic operation. A step by step procedure to find theright tuning values are provided, and a case study taken from a real natural gasprocessing unit is presented to illustrate the advantages of the proposedapproach.
