Resumen:
ANDROGENIC RECEPTORS IN COELIAC GANGLION Working with the coeliac ganglion-superior ovarian nerve-ovary (CG-SON-Ovary) system, we have shown, since a point of view physiologic, that androstenedione (A2), at the end of pregnancy in the rat, would act through ganglionic androgen receptor. The objective of present work was to investigate the presence of such receptors in ganglion by means of immunohistochemistry. Female Holtzman rats at 21 days of pregnancy were used. The Celiac ganglion was removed and fixed in Bouin´s fluid. The tissue was dehydrated in a graded series of ethanol, cleared in xylene and embedded in paraffin. Serial sections were cut at 5 ìm and mounted. Coloring of hematoxylin-eosin and technique of immunohistochemistry were realized, antibody anti-androgen receptor N-20 sc 186 was used and the immunohistochemical visualization was carried out using the Super Sensitive Ready-to-Use Immunostaining Kit. The stained sections were examined under a light photomicroscope Olympus BX 40. The results of coloring de hematoxylin-eosin show that the celiac ganglion presents a slim capsule of connective tissue. Numerous neuronal somas with basophilic citoplasma and nucleous of laxa cromatine with one or two evident nucleolos are observed. Respect of immunostaining, this is observed in scarce neuronal somas. The pattern citoplasmatic of distribution is heterogeneous, presenting points marked intensely. We concluded that the study immunohistochemistry confirms the presence of receptors of androgens at citoplasmatic level in neurons of celiac ganglion.
