Resumen:
Political realists argue that fighting poverty may compromise national security, and in an anarchical international arena this means that citizens' lives are at risk. Thus, affluent countries may prioritize their national security over their duties to reduce global poverty. Against this view, I argue that global poverty also threatens human lives, so realists need to show why citizens should be absolutely prioritized over foreigners in this regard.
