In this work we study the synthesis and characterization of aluminum pillared clays from Argentinean bentonites. The influence in the synthesis of the oligocations and the intercalation methods is monitored by different techniques like DRX, N2-sorption, SEM and Thermal analysis. The final materials are hardly influenced by the preparation methods independent of the chemical composition.
