Resumen:
In the present work a set of Pt nanoparticles (NP) were synthesized by seeded growth and direct ethylene glycol reduction methods and stabilized with poly-(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS), Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) studies were performed. The combination of these techniques provides a powerful approach to investigate size and size distribution. In addition, SAXS analysis gives detailed structural information of the system under study and evidence the formation of oligomer structure of the NP in the solution. This type of structure is almost independent of the NP size and is maintained in different solvents
