Ultra-high resolution Raman spectoscopy

We present a novel ultra-high resolution technique for Raman spectroscopy based on a Fabry-Perot / triple additive spectrometer with multichannel acquisition. This technique is specially suited for the measurement of low-energy acoustic excitations in nanostructures, providing typically 0.01 cm(-1) resolution over a 20 cm(-1) range in one single measurement. We show here as a test case the result for a 1 THz acoustic phonon cavity.
