This work describes observations on a high-pressure non-equilibriumlow-current plasma discharge in air gas between copper blunt electrodes.Discharge characteristics for inter-electrode lengths from 0.1 to 11 mm,and currents from 0.03 to 0.2 A are presented. Estimations of the currentdensity at the cathode and the axial electric eld are given. A cathode-fall voltage close to 300 V, and independent of the discharge current wasfound. The visible emissive structure of the discharge resembles a low-pressure glow discharge.
