Resumen:
This study examined the role of causal, additive and adversative connectives and causalconnectivity in spoken and written discourse comprehension. Participants listened to or read aradio interview, with or without connectives. Readers recalled more statements than listeners.Statements that had many causal connections were recalled more often than those with fewerconnections, especially when they were read. There was an interaction between connectivepresence, type of connection and modality of presentation.
