Resumen:
The results obtained by Faivovich et al. (2005? 2010) and Pyron & Wiens (2011) brought advances into the knowledge about the relationshipbetween the species of the subfamily Phyllomedusinae Günther? 1888; however some points are still remaining with low resolution. Thephylogenetic position of rare species (e.g. Phrynomedusa)? the internal relations between some low supported clades (e.g. Agalychnis andPhasmahyla) and the absence of integrated morphological phylogenetic studies are some points that still need to be explored in the context ofPhyllomedusinae systematics. Phasmahyla is an endemic genus of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and consists of seven species that occur in mountainstreams from southern Bahia to northern Paraná: Phasmahyla guttata A. Lutz? 1925; Phasmahyla cochranane Bokermann? 1966; Phasmahylajandaia Bokermann & Sazima? 1978; Phasmahyla exilis Cruz? 1980; Phasmahyla spectabilis Cruz? Feio & Nascimento? 2008; Phasmahyla timbo Cruz?Napoli & Fonseca? 2008 and Phasmahyla cruzi Carvalho-e-Silva? Silva & Carvalho e Silva? 2009. There is no doubt about the monophyly of the genusPhasmahyla? however the internal relations between the species still remain poorly supported. The previous phylogenetic hypotheses includedonly five of the seven species that comprise the genus (P. spectabilis and P. timbo are the missing species). We performed a re-analysis ofPhasmahyla increasing the number of terminals of the species included in the phylogenetic proposals? including the two missing species andincluding new molecular sequences. These results corroborate the previous hypothesis and indicate the presence of new species.
